How to write an engaging blog entry
We think of blogs as a space to: express your opinion on a given topic; reflect on a particular experience or set of related experiences; use this platform to start a conversation with other people and invite responses. Some more general tips about blogging:
- An attention getting title attracts readers
- Keep it short, around 250 words
- Use links to other sites to stream-line your text and improve readability
- Use lists or bullet points when possible
- State your opinion early and clearly
- Use an informal style; no academic prose needed
- Feel free to include visual or audio material
- Pose questions to other readers to invite conversation
