Resources for STEM teachers

The Applied Math and Science Education Repository (AMSER) provides educational resources for those in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics fields. AMSER is funded by the NSF and the National Science Digital Library, created to compile and direct users to quality resources for people teaching and working in STEM fields. The AMSER website is easy to navigate and its resources are appropriately catalogued. Under the "resources" tab, you will find a range of classified material, including links to "mathematics", "science", and "educational technology."

Even though AMSER is focused on STEM fields, they have compiled material from ostensibly unrelated disciplines, including "Language Arts" and "Foreign Languages." Just to take one example - a wide range of materials can be found under the "Educational Technology" tab. The diverse topics include: graphics and web design principles, tips for using Second Life, and supplemental curriculum for Chemistry teachers via live text feed. The resources for other areas are equally impressive. AMSER's audience is specifically those involved in Community and Technical Colleges but anyone who teaches or is interested in accessing a rich archive of resources should visit this site.
